National Girls & Women in Sports Day
Sunday, February 9, 2020 | 12 p.m.
NGWSD recognizes the extraordinary progress sparked by Title IX and the ongoing effort to ensure access to sports for girls and women. Research indicates that girls who play sports have better health, higher self-esteem, stronger leadership skills, and greater academic achievement and economic opportunity.
Thanks to a generous donation to Drake Athletics, please join many of our Drake women's athletics teams for this FREE clinic. Participants will be involved in sports activities (currently including soccer, tennis, golf, rowing, basketball, track and field, volleyball, and cheerleading) to help expand life-long opportunities.
Clinic registration is now open to all local youth age kindergarten to 8th grade, and will close on Wednesday, February 5 or once all spots are filled. Space is limited and participant slots are filled on a first come, first served basis. Simply complete and submit the form via the "Register Here" link below.
All clinic participants will receive:
Free t-shirt (sizes based on availability)
Four (4) complimentary general admission tickets to the Drake Women's Basketball game vs. Missouri State at 2 p.m.
The first 200 registrants will receive a free concession voucher valid for one (1) hot dog, one (1) small popcorn, one (1) 16 oz. drink and one (1) small candy item.
During the lunch break, kids can participate in a multitude of activities including a photo booth, make a sign to cheer on the Bulldogs, get a temporary tattoo, and take a photo with Griff.
